Finance Maritime English – Foundations helps you understand and communicate the language of that current – the English used in trade, transactions, and global shipping finance.

Through accessible explanations and real examples, you’ll explore how maritime businesses are funded, insured, and sustained. You’ll gain the tools to read and discuss basic financial documents, understand common expressions in trade finance, and describe processes such as contracts, payments, and credit instruments.

The course is designed for learners entering the financial, commercial, or administrative side of maritime activity. You’ll connect key concepts – from freight rates to letters of credit – with the English expressions professionals use to describe and manage them.

By the end of this course, you’ll:

• Recognise and use core financial and commercial maritime vocabulary.
